Can Someone please advise me as to the year of a Caterpiller Crawler Twenty Two bearing the serial number 2F4455W? Thanks In Advance. I'll be needing all sorts of help, this is truely as basket case. I'll post pics and questions later.

Your cat Twenty Two would be a 1935 wide gauge. The 22's started with Sn 2F1606 through 2F5335 in the year 1935, was built in Peoria.

Kelly and Droptube, Thank you both for posting the info. Hopefully I can draw upon your knowledge on the rebuild portion of this project. As I stated, I'll be posting pictures, as I had to carry it home in in pieces. :tape2:
