They range from about 51,000 to 60,000 lbs. depending on model but 2S9748 is not a valid s/n.

OM:

Thanks. That appears to be the number that is given in the Logue sale. How heavy for just the tractor and then how heavy for the scraper?

Thanks. Tom

I don't have all the breakdowns but for the first DW20 s/n 21C and 11C scraper weighing 50,900 lbs, the scraper 11C scraper is 24,000 lbs.
Scrapers get heavier as you move up the models.

Guessing 50 - 50 weight between tractor and scraper wouldn't be to far off.

That's interesting......the 11C weight came right out of the parts manual.
Can't believe all those cheat sheet listings.

OM, this was not from a cheat sheet. Back in the early 60s up until the 80s or 90s Shepherd Machinery published a monthly magazine with there used equipment for sale. In the back of the magazine they had the specs for the Cat equipment. Shepherd Machinery was the local Cat dealer until Quinn bought them out a few years ago.

Doesn't mean they got it right.
Even the Cat Performance Handbook does not have the correct listings for the 21C/11C combo.

Need to check a 21C parts book to get it right.

I know, All the publications say the D4E SA tractors weigh about 16,000 depending on options. Well all of mine weigh right at 23,000, big difference. When you start adding Cat factory cabs long and wide undercarriage, extra counter weights and hyd valves along with hd rock gaurds and full belly pans it all adds up.

At least some of them give you a clue by stating bare tractor as the base weight.
