I like off topic stuff, pretty much just the same as Caterpillar. After all, except for the dealership, they pretty much all play in the same sandbox and the Cats need the Dogs to give them a ride around! Even at some of the dealerships they mingled (the newbies at Caterpillar, Inc. seems to conveniently forget the long Letourneau complementary relationship as well as the John Deere relationship, with the forty year history of the joint dealers around the world!)

The Allis Chalmers HD41 discussion has been very interesting. I want to see more, pictures and movies especially, about everything mechanical.

Glad you still check in, Swishy. Hope we can entice you back into posting and commenting, too.

Pete.

Glad to hear from Swish------and Bruce Oz.

Found out my problem: "it's not that I am runnin too slow------the world is spinning too fast!!!!!" You boys runnin in the fast lane be careful------you might run over some of us old codgers.

They had to change their website a year or 2 ago, had to reregister, try this link. I only check in there a couple times a year, not much activity there anymore.

Swishy, the ACME forum is still up and running, although we've lost a lot of regular users. The chatroom works good. You may have an old webpage address. Here is the correct one.

http://www.antiquecaterpillar.info/

Make sure you are logged in (click on "sign in" in the top right corner of the black menu bar), and then clicking on "new content" should produce all the latest posts.

Your old mate Nightcrawler is back, he'll probably want to know how that 2-Ton restoration is going! :D

Is that the one that askes where catepillars come from? i tried hundreds of answers. im obviously not mature enough to get in there yet. although i am smart enough to know everything happens or happened for a reason

to get on the acme site, you have to be a registered user, it is free and you don't get any adverts or anything, there are sections that include conversations other than Old Caterpillars.

might have to google Peoria to spell it correctly for the answer to work.

Lol, now that's just good stuff there, Swishy. Until I got to the end of the video I was thinking, "Wow, they spread dirt about as smooth as I do", with all the bumps and divots in there. Nice video.:pop2:

If it wasn't for Swishy, I'd never have learned that the Dukes of Hazzard were alive and well, and up to their regular tricks, in 1913! :biggrin1:

Love the retro high track to low track conversion, and even better, the TD-24 overhaul. (I'd still keep it myself, though, even if it is a red brand!)
