took the d6 9u known as THE HOOD out to plow all the snow we have gotten this month. the big 12 foot blade made short work of the snow. he also started good after being plugged in all night. only -28C when i fired him up. LOL

Well keep it up there for awhile. With the warm weather here I put off a few must get done projects to start a few more.

Will this snow stay for the season?

You are one luckey northerner in my book. I really miss the snow but I guess it's taking it easy on my heating bills. Do really miss shoving the stuff about though.

If'n it keeps snowing... you better start on making one of the CATS a loader to stack it. :)

I'll bet its's nice to be out of the cold in that shop.

al, in the great white north we are not crowed on the population, so lots of space to keep shoving it farther. just get a bigger cat, LOL when the d6 9u can't push any farther we will hook them in tandem like those d9 that are featured here from time to time, LOL

it was nice to be in the shop today for sure and even better cuddling on the couch tonight since it is friday night, LOL

anything to keep warm, LOL

Can't think of a better way to spend a Friday nite. I look foward to seeing you pull a larger machine out of the waters. Would be really kewl to see two huge plows in tandem.

Joey,

With that much snow how are the ice conditions? Amazing the insulation properties of the white stuff. Can keep the ice from growing or can give really unpredictable areas

matt, what has happened is the ground and water is still warm because we didn't have a least 2 weeks of cold to get the frost driven down. now with all this snow it is insulating the it very well. the lakes here have 4-6 inches f ice but with the weight of the snow it pushes the ice down. when the ice goes down water goes on top of the ice between the snow. so this makes slush. the extra weight make for very very bad ice conditions. no one around here has even driven a ski-doo across a small lake because you will just break thru. it must stop snowing and give us lots and lots of cold weather to get the ice to freeze.
