The1R came out in 1940 so I don,t have when each one was made but guessing was a later 1940s machine as the war probably stopped production in the earlier 40s to the middle 40s. Someone on here would have a book on the date it as made. I have a Cat SNID from a Cat dealer but only has start up dates of machines.

1R982 would fall into 1943 manufacturing year.

Should have a diesel D3400 engine in a tandem drive grader weighing about 13,100 pounds.

Fourdee, that sounds like a deal that would get you a lot of Mothers Day kudos .. :D .. what's it feel like, sleeping in the dog house?? .. :D

You didn't buy that fully restored 212 that was on offer a while back? The bloke must have spent $20,000 on rebuilding it like new.
The only problem was, he wanted most of his money back in the sale price .. :(
I don't think he had any takers .. but it sure was one mint 212 .. :)

That ole fella would have done well, just to be able to still climb into the cab, at 88 .. let alone handle the Armstrong steering! .. I hope I can still do that at 88! .. :D .. Pics?? .. where's the pics?? ..

Fourdee, she doesn't look too bad at all .. apart from the fact it's been 50 years since she last had a paint job .. :D

Do those brakes work?? .. thats a bonus, if they do .. :D
