more r 2 questions

thanks ahead of time i have been working on this old r2 that was sitting in a barn for forty years i cant belive it but i have got it running still no tracks for it i have a set for a d2 that i am going to try make work does any one know were the battery is mounted there was a cable mounted around the rear diff. but i dont know if it came from the factory there because it has a pump for the blade where the pto would be.if anybody has a picture of the battery box that would be nice and yes it does have a good starter thanks Tony.

Your battery box would mount on the forward position of your left Fender, Amp guage showing toward the Driver. Your D2 tracks will work fine ,as your R2 is just a Gas version of the D2. Good luck with the rest of the rebuild, Some pics would be great !! LJ
