Caterpillar 22 Repair Manual?
Hi. I hope someone will be willing share their thoughts. I'm getting the idea that there never was a repair manual specifically just for the Twenty Two?
If this is indeed true might there be a reprint for another model repair manual that would be close to that of the 22? And in particular for the steering clutch repair.

Having just acquired a 22 I too am interested in knowing what manual would be most suitable to help with understanding the twenty two. From searching this forum and others I understand there is not one specifically for the twenty two. Leon

It is my understanding that the repair manual for the small 20 is the best one for us 22 owners

I agree that there appears to be no Specific Manual for the 22 , I use PV15 or small 20 and have most 22 engine specs . I am yet to come across Manual for an R2 .I use D2 but dosen't fully cover Engine of Course . LJ

Another site has Cat 20 manuals but are they the right ones?

I too would like to thank you for your response. Another site (ssbtractor) offers manuals but I have no idea really if these are for what you are calling the small 20. Please tell me if one of the below manuals would be the appropriate manual.

The first 2 Books are for the Big Twenty [L and PL ] and I can only assume the 3rd is for Tools for same . The Small Twenty is the 8C Series , it is the upgrade of the PV15 , which I understand they only made 652 off. The 22 followed with few changes except for the Motor . Hope this is off some help . I actually had a 22 That had been fitted with a PV15 motor !!. LJ
