best of luck with that one, all i can do is say contact Caterpillar inc. in peoria and see if they can assist you.
There a several Caterpillar employees either still working or retired that use this BB and they may be able to give you a contact name and number.

Don't waste your time.
They won't even be polite enough to answer a letter, much less to help.
Hey shaper, how is the d4 running for you?

Try and E mail Thaxton_Nichole_L@cat.com She is the archivist and was very helpfull when I was looking for the same info. It kinda depends on how old the dealership is now if it is still in buisness. A lot of stuff gets thrown out when records are updated and such. Unless someone had the foresight to save some things, it probably got trashed. If it was after the "War Years", and I think it was, there may be more information available from Caterpillar. GOOD LUCK!!
Thanks for the info. jbend56 I'll keep you posted I shaped the city golf course in Winfeild nice town.
Hey painter the D4 is running great. so far no problems. I'll post pics later.

Thanks shaper
Shaper,
You might try contacting Wagner Equipment in Denver, CO. there are the Cat Dealer in the state. With that S/N and if it was from Colorado to start with, it was no doubt bought from McCoy Machinery Co. who sold out to Wagner, they may have saved the old sales records. Or, you might contact the Rocky Mountain Chapter #9 of the ACMOC those boys may have some information as well.
