Default Visited a Family Run Quarry Today

I have used around 800 + tons of clean Aggrate from my Local Stone Quarry, around the Cat-Cave. MOT / Grit Stone / Crucher Run & Clean Stone 4" for drainage area etc.

Today I Vistied the Family Run Quarry, its only a small local concern. My other Major Quarry is using a D11 with Riper jobby, Marshalls Quarry, and strickly no entry, I have been up there onve about 10 years ago, and they took my camera off me it was a real big hole, with a fleet of dump trucks, and over 2 miles of over head convators to the moulding plant, making road Kerbs and Flags etc etc.

Its a kind of sand stone type stone, and they are using 3 Volvo 42 ton 360's to dig the rock out. its laminated rock,, and the odd Cat Dozer.

Looks a lot like the open limestone mines around here except they mostly drill and blast the rock with ANFO. Don't think it's soft enough to rip or dig out.

This summer we did some survey work for an underground limestone/gypsum mine to position an overhead conveyor. I'd never been down in one like it...was 3 levels deep and they had an underground crusher...all material ran out on the overhead conveyors.
Kind of strange to be below ground and see a D8 high-track go by...the passage was juuust big enough for it to fit.
