Just curious if they are available and if so approximately how much?

Surely, someone has done this and can help me out.
From what I remember reading on here over the last couple years its pretty much like this-
Cat doesn't have much, or any undersize bearings for these anymore. This goes for mains or rods. Some standard size bearings can still be had, but not all. I believe the thrust bearing supplies are totally exhausted, none to be had from Cat. If you have good part numbers you could try other suppliers like Florin tractor, and hope to find some NOS out there somewhere. There have been a couple guys on here that have resorted to having these bearings specially made, you could do a search to try to find these old threads. My memory may not be totally accurate here, but to make a long story short there really isn't an easy or cheap way to put together a complete set anymore.

Thats what I was afraid of.
My D2 has great oil pressure until the oil gets really warmed up then the pressure starts dropping to next to nothing on the gauge. I'll try the easy stuff first like pump screens, pressure relief valve, the guage itself, etc. Actually measure the mains and rods with plastigauge at least.
Just trying to have a backup plan in mind.
Bearings for the D311 are a true treasure hunt. I have a motor apart that took the better part of 4 years to find camshaft bearings. I originally purchased a set of rod bearings, liners and pistons from FP Smith, but that was a long time ago. They were not Caterpillar NOS parts, but rather by another manufacturer.
