Megan, this is a cut-n-paste from the ACME forum. It shows the screen shots from Swishy's computer and the messages he is receiving when trying to sign on.

Oopps, too small. Here's the link to the page at ACME. You may need to be a registered user to view the picture. If so and you are not registered, I think Kevin is.

Hi Team,
seem to recall this post about non-standard letters etc in user names being a possible problem for some.
Maybe Swishy's funny "S" is a problem ?

Posts:34 UPDATED: Scheduled Downtime October 28, 2010 - PLEASE READ!
Upgrades rescheduled for October 28, 2010. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we want to be as certain as possible that everything will keep running smoothly!
The ACMOC website and bulletin board will be unavailable next Tuesday, October 28, 2010, between the hours of midnight and 5am Central US time. At that time we will be doing some upgrades that will allow the main site and the bulletin board to work together better...you will be able to log in to both areas using the same information!
In order to make this work, some usernames will need to be altered. If you have an apostrophe, ampersand (&) or parentheses in your name, you will be receiving an email and/or PM from me asking what you would like your username to be changed to. Look for the message and be sure to reply! Otherwise I'll just remove the invalid characters from your username during the upgrade. (NOTE: This should only affect about 20 or so usernames.)

1929 cat fifteen,1942 cat12 grader,1956 D47u with 4S blade,
I've been meaning to remove the letters in the username box. I don't know what vBulletin was thinking when they added that to the latest upgrade!
Bruce, I'll go check out the ACME post..
