    Default A D2 Just Waiting

    Hello Guys

I don't see too many of this sort of post on here, don't know if thats cause they're not welcome, or just no-one bothers . . .

Anyhow while out scouting for a blade for my D2 we found this little beauty. She's serial no 1029, a 1949 tractor I believe. According to the meter she's done 9900 hours, and the track gear looks like that too (by my inexperienced eye). The owner is an 80 year old lady whose husband passed away, he apparently had several machines but this was his "favourite". We were shown over it by the son in law, who runs a digger and truck one man contracting operation.

It was last run 2 years ago by a grandson, started right up after several years "just waitin".

The blade arrangement is pretty crude, but has obviously done a lot of work, and was very satisfactory (for a straight blade setup) according to the son in law. Has all originial Cat attachments for hydraulics and PTO.

    Cheers - Foster

    Hi NZCat,
Always fun to go "cat spotting" and I think most folks enjoy sharing the findings.
Seems to be a real lull in postings lately. Either due to summer time and everyones busy or maybe interest is dropping off.
Anyway, thanks for posting and spot us some more
