    Default Scrap Iron Question.

    .
How much does a Scrap Yard pay for old equipment
dozers, loaders, graders, scrapers, backhoes, excavators, trucks, etc ?

Most pay by the ton. It will vary depending on location. Locally here in NE B.C. they are paying $240-$250.00/ton, but i'm sure the closer to port or smelter you are the price will be higher. Not hard to beat scrap price here, but not as much to pick from either. Garry

In the scrap world a ton is normally a short ton, or 2200 lbs
