D330 3304 engine interchangeable?

I have a couple of 955Ks, one with the D330, the other with the D330C. Will a 3304 motor fit the bell housing and motor mounts?

Can't tell you the whole story but I looked up the bell housings and the 955L (85J6247-up) with 3304 uses the same number as the earlier L models (85J4672 to 85J6246) with D330c. Housing number 7S7780.

The 85J's did not use the D330.....all D330c's or 3304's

The 3304 and the D330C will interchange fairly easily, the flywheel housing will fit directly. Pay special attention to the back end of the oil galley, some engines have a core plug and others have a button to supply oil to a rear pump drive. The coolant hoses may need some modification, not sure and the fan mount may not be exact. A fan mount from the 955 engine arrangement should fit. Get your engine allignment right or you will rip out the drive biscuits in a week. Also governor should be set to 955 spec's.
