    Default Wheeled Twenty

Very interesting steering, wonder if the front wheels moved L to R when the corresponding clutch lever was pulled.

maybe now for someone to convert his 8c 20 to this wheeled tractor, then you got something special. i think it will go strange try the corner without a steering wheel to put front wheels in proper position.

    Confused Pictures

Caterpillarman I cannot remember where from I got those pictures,it may have been the Itie site, there would have been no more,I would have have downloaded them if there was as the steering caught my eye, with all the control rods connecting to the front axle it would be my guess that when a steering lever was pulled the front wheels were steered too,it was easier to convert from wheel to track and just use diff steer, with no diff in the twenty its a different story.

Looks like it would have been easier to have crazy (caster) wheels, and steer with the original steering clutches and brakes. LE

    Cool Sales catalogue

While I was searching for any more info on the wheeled twenty the search took me to the Nebraska Test Library, there I found a sales brochure for the conventional twenty, there are some nice pictures in it as well as all the tech specs,go to the link below, type Caterpillar Twenty in the search box, click search, the page changes click search again, wait till it loads, then click on the first download and it will bring up the PDF file,it can be slow to load, the file can be saved on your pc.
