    this may be a silly question but could't you have tow started her and drove it on your lowbed?

    I see you mention that the pinion normally grinds and then goes into gear when you pull the lever up, does your pinion Brake not work? If you pull the pinion clutch lever to the rear it should stop the pinion from turning (and grinding the teeth off). All that grinding could have caused the problem that you're dealing with now.

    We do not have glow plugs. I use avery small spray of starter fluid in cold weather. Electric start is 24 volts (2 -12 volts in series) RPM appears to be more than poney engine. Starts very fast. Any help I can give on mounting or pictures. 931 721-3731

    We thought of pull starting ~ while on the drive to the shop with the cat on the back. As for the grinding, it would only grind for a split second as the teeth lined up, but it was noticeable that the shaft was turning at least somewhat and you could feel the teeth engage....
