    Default RD7 Fuel

I have a '36 RD7 9G1084. I need to replace the rods that hold the fuel filters, the plastic retaining rings and possibly the springs. I talked to Altorfer Cat in Cedar Rapids IA but with no part number they were lost. I dont see that assembly in my parts book and it looks like an update anyway. Any one have part numbers or suggestions?

You have the later style fuel filter:

These parts men these days have forgotton or usually just flat don't know what a microfische is. I work for Altorfer in Illinois and the old fisch are in the back and most don't have clue how to even use the stuff. Fortunately we were still using them when I started in '97 they werre still being updated but some of them old ones have a publication date from the 60's. For the "outsider" it is a whole lot easier if you have the part numbers in hand.
