    Default Pray For Herb

    Hey Gang,

Many of you know Herb Burbank. Herb has been in the hospital the last week. His neice called my wife today and reported that along with pneumonia, his kindeys are going. I spent a couple of hours with him today by his bedside. He isn't very coherant. What a change in just a few days. Ya know when I was holding his hand for an hour or more I noticed how strong and big his hands still are. It always amazed me, even at 87 when you shook his hand, he could squeze the crap out of your hand. Must have been from milking a hundred head of cow by hand, twice a day, a majority of his life. Please say a prayer for a fellow Cat Lover.-glenclean up herb's 011.jpg

    Default Thanks for the update.

    Hi, Glen.
Thanks for the update. He will be in my thoughts, as he has been on and off since you took me out to meet him. He seemed to me to be a great bloke from the old school and I'll never forget the expression of delight on his face when you showed him all those photos on your laptop and showed him how to scroll through them.

He has a great friend in you and I guess there are a good few more around that way who feel the same way about him. Please keep us posted.

    Thanks again.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes.

    Deas Plant.

    Hi Glen,
Sorry to hear that Herb is down.....but glad to hear you are attending him, thanks for that.

What a neat old guy, always enjoyed talking to him....I know he led a hard life but never heard him complain about anything. Give him my regards.

A couple of pictures from by-gone years. Him running the D4 & scraper is one of my favorites.

Best wishes and good karma headed your way Herb. I've not ever had the pleasure of a meeting, but I do remember the events. Thanks Glen for watching out for him.

    Default Thank You

    Thanks Guys,

Just got back from seeing Herb today. His neice, who is doing a great job taking care of him, stated that his Heart Failure problems are gone for now, his kidneys have stop the decline sinking to failure and flatened out, She stated that they aren't on the up side, but not going down hill. The pneumonia has shown a little signs of getiing better. They were going to give him blood today and see if that help's. I'll keep you posted.

Thank You to everyone for your thoughts. Old Magnet thanks for posting my old pictures, as they died with my old computer, thanks for saving. I thought that art work of Herb moving the Earth is cool. 'Til next time.-glen

    Shocked Herb Burbank

It was nice to be able to see herb, even though he's not doing so well. I really hope he can pull through. It just won't be the same without him at cat night! So hurry up and get well Herb!

    Default Friends

I was lucky enough to have Mike Hughes, and Bob Hughes (they aren't related, except Cat Brothers) join me for Breakfast and then go see Herb with me today. At breakfast we all told "how we met Herb stories." It was a great breakfast, Thanks Mike and Bob.-glen

    Default Go Herb!

I have enjoyed visiting with Herb at several shows and play days. He is really a great guy, and looks like he was made to sit on a Cat. I hope he continues coming around the bend and starts getting better. I've said a few little prayers for him.

    Pete.

    Default Herb report

    Hey Gang,

Stopped in to see Herb and his niece today at the Hospital. Not much news to report other than Herb is hanging on. He isn't speaking much. The only thing I heard him say in the last couple of days, was "Help Me". Very sad to see him like this. I reported to his niece that you guys have been speaking positively and saying prayers. She was grateful to all you guys. I will keep you posted.
