    That's a good idea, Glen!!!!

Several years ago I bought new Caterpillar seat (a newer one, probably for an excavator or something) complete with adjustable lumbar support and a pouch on the back for manuals. The plan was to mount it on the base of my 'puter desk chair. Hasn't actually HAPPENED yet but I'm still thinking about doing it.....

Rich, a couple of other guys are trying to get the "Caterpillar" plates made. Keep in touch.

Well, at least all of the OIL that leaked out of that 44 hydraulic unit will help keep my old F150 from rusting any more. There's probably a 70 mile trail from Bob's driveway to mine, and a nice little puddle in my gravel driveway for dust & weed control.
Hope the EPA doesn't see this post!

    Default Oil Cooler

Hang on to that oil cooler! Pressure test it to 20psi to see if its any good. Every 3 to 5 months someone always posts looking for one.

Yes! Hopefully it will be in better shape than the radiator core. The radiator core is corroded so badly that the fins disintegrate when you touch them.

Well, so much for the "Save the Oil Cooler" concept. She's not even worth scrap.

I just tried to pressure test it. Couldn't get the pressure past "atmospheric".
Pump input shaft spline is worn too.

Neil, this is what I found behind the 44 unit. Yikes!

Think about it. I'll be going down to Portland early tomorrow morning and won't be back til Saturday. Let me know if you still want it. You can have it for the cost of shipping (whatever that is) otherwise it's going in the scrap pile.
