    Default Old Farts Travelling

There will be 3 old farts travelling in the US from downunder in June, we plan on flying into SFO and driving to the museum at Woodlands, then onto Droptubes in Oregon, from there we plan on driving across to the NE around Boston.

It would be greatly appreciated by us if we could call upon some other old farts and admire their toys and talk a little BS with them.

Sounds like a great trip Wombat . Don't forget the camera . A friend of mine {not a sufferer of the old tractor disease} Was over there about 6 months ago . Travelled accross from Boston to california. Absolutely Kicking himself for not having a camera with him .

If Michigan fits in to the route I have a few old Cats to look at and would be glad to take you on a tour of Old Iron on the area.

After leaving Droptube's and headed eastward, if you travel either I 84 or 26 you'll go through my stomping grounds in eastern Oregon and I'd like to meet with you. Let me know as your plans firm up if you would and we could arrange something. Language is no problem. .I only had to ask Deas Plant to explain a couple of things

    Default Stop in to help

Wombat, if your trip takes you across New York State and past Albany you are welcome to stop in and lend a hand, or at least advice, on the restoration of my CAT22. Mostly in pieces now but starting to go together. It was in pretty sad shape when I started, but I hope to make a hobby working CAT out of her yet. Ray

Ray, if they come past your place, I might follow them over and take a look at the 22.
Wombat, if you head across 90, come past Rochester NY and we can take a look at Jeff Huff's museum which is just out of town - plenty of good stuff for old geezers to look at and a little further down the road in Canandaigua is the steam society's place which is where the ACMOC annual show is frequently held.

I'd show you my D2 but it's pathetic right now : ) Mind you, at the rate I'm going, the pony which is only about 3 steps from running might still take til June to actually get going.
Plus by then, you might like to hear a decent NZ (cough) accent ; )
PM me when you get your itinerary finalized and we'll get you hooked up. If it's the first week of June, you could come watch the golf for a couple of hours too.

    Cheers,
    Neil.

If you are going near Northern, MN onyour way east I'd be pleased to have you stop. I got a sometimes working collection of old logging equipment, tractors and mogs to play with. We might even catch a fish if the ice is still out and you are so enclined. In any event enjoy your trip.
