Being OLD FARTs, they'll be familiar with standard (although I think Oz, like NZ, called it Imperial because of the British connection - same difference though. Well, all the Cat stuff was but we also had all of that over-engineered, under-executed British stuff using Whitworth and BSP and all kinds of one-offs).
Metric came into NZ in the 70s from memory so any of us 40 and over are good with standard or metric. Hopefully they will be here after the first week as it's the LPGA in Rochester and I can't wait! (We have the PGA here next year so that's going to be a doozy).

    Cheers,
    Neil.

    Default Old Farts Travelling

Well the 3 Old Farts are all packed and ready to leave for the local airport at 4.00am (EST Oz), we arrive in SFO at 2.00pm Wednesday US time. Thankyou to all those members who have made very kind offers, they are very much appreciated. Sue, Karl and Glen, will call you when we arrive in San Francisco.

Will contact others as our trip progresses, looking forward to meeting as many members as time will allow, you will just need to be a bit understanding and forgiving of the 2 younger Old Farts travelling with me, they are likely to buy up all the caterpillar vintage stock in the US. Me? well i just want to admire it all, women included.

Thumbs up Dinner with 3 Old Farts last night!

Seems there were 3 "Hooligans" at the "Retired Iron Farm" waiting for CatIron to show up after work last night.
I had run into Bob S. down at his office when he told me 3 guys from Australia were waiting up at the Farm. We all had a very enjoyable evening of looking over Bob's very impressive collection of tractors, toys and memoribilia.

When are you characters heading past Western New York? I'm working in NYC Mon-Thurs so if you're passing by Fri-Sat, we could pre-arrange with Jeff Huff to visit his museum (or anyone from Chapter 8 could take you)

If they do make it to Sandwich there will be at least two and maybe four members from Chapter 4 there.
