Default D6 9U Fluid Change Questions

Getting to the first fluid change in the D69U serial 23000+ since I picked her up last year.

    1. According to what I see in the manual it requires crankcase filter 9F6700, can anyone confirm this? My filters must have been crossed over to another supplier as the number they have is nothing close to the 9F6700.
    2. I'm not well versed on oils and ratings, it looks like both the flywheel clutch and crankcase both take a SAE 30 oil. I was going to check the local shops and TSC or farm supply stores for a house brand as it is far from a new engine and really typically will get few hours each year, any flaws to this thinking?
    3. Looks like a SAE 90 for the transmission. I noticed last summer it did show some signs of water in it. I was just going to refill and monitor rather than doing some type of flush, any thoughts if this is a decent plan? Thanks in advance.

Hey bryan long time no talk, would have to look up the filter, but i use 80w90 in my trans and finals and 15w40 in the rest of the machine. Its the modern equivalent to 30w. The trans. is fairly easy to flush but just remember there is an equilizer tube that runs to the rear compartment for the ring and pinion aswell

    Steven,

Good to hear from you again, everything is good over here. Thanks for the oil information. My wife still harasses me that your D2 would have fit on the trailer with the CCU! We had an easy winter here so I spent most of it clearing trees and brush on the south end of my pond in anticipation of some dragline work instead of working on the CCU. I had figured the clearing was a 5 year job in my spare time but now I only have maybe a days worth of work left doing that and the whole end I want to dig on is wide open. Have you given any thought to heading to the HCEA show in Bowling Green this September? Also have you been working that fine D69U of yours?
