    Default D2 Idlers

    Hi,
Looking at a set of large diameter idler for a D2.
The part number on them is 6B8229 which I can't find any reference to.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi OM,
    Thanks for the reply.
Is that the correct large diameter idler for a U series D2 or is it from something else?

    Thanks
    Scott

Sorry, I don't have enough D2 books to check. Might be early "U" but it's not late "U"13237-up. I suspect it's from the "J" series.

My early D2 "U" series parts book lists the 6B8279 idler to fit tractors 5U1 to 5U6128 for use with the standard length track roller frame, but it would also fit "J" and "U" series machines outside of that range. It is one of the larger 23 1/2" O.D. idlers you're looking for.

Default Sorry to break into your posts but

    Hello,

I have a D2 that I need to grease the track rollers on. I seem to find a hard time to get the grease. Do any of you know what kind of grease is used and where I can get it here in Oregon?

    Thanks
