    Default My new D4

    I just got this 7U D4...havent started it yet. It has been stored inside for about 10years and was parked right after getting a new undercarriage. I also got the manuals The serial number is 7U31052..did I write that down wrong? seems like a high number..Hyster D4N winch and 18" pads

    Hi Ron Dog

    I note with interest that you have aquired a very original 7U, with recently overhauled under carraige, you seem to think that the 31 -- 000 Serial No was to high. However they built 44,307 7U tractors from 1947 until 1959 when production ceased. Hope that this puts your mind at rest. Your tractor was built in 1955.

    wow ok thank you..I didnt know thay made that many since most numbers stopped at 9999...thank you for responding...I bought 2 non running D2's too..one is 5U 9095SP with a 2A blade SN 7G1864 on Trackson High Lift Arms and 44 Hyd Unit SN 9W1794 and the other one is 5U11183 with a laplant Choate angle blade and factory PTO..the chassis number is 5U3939 so the engine was changed..it only has 402 hrs on the meter..both engines are stuck so is both steering clutches... its a parts machine
