    Default cat 922

Hi new member here, I purchased a cat 922 two weeks ago that blew a head gasket 9 years ago and the motor was frozen, it has a model d320 engine that had new sleeves and head repairs done to it just prior to the head gasket going. I disassembled the motor and found one heavely corroded sleeve and the other three were clean the head gasket had a bad ding in the fire ring of the affected cylinder like it got hit by a head bolt when the head was going on during the reassembly. So I replaced the bad sleeve and head gasket and the rings on that cylinder put the motor back in and now it runs like a top, this little loader has a lot of power for its size, which created a new problem it blew a hydraulic hose, such is life......
well I thought I would say hi and I hope I can help out
    thanks Mike

Welcome to the board. Always glad to hear a success story. You will have many hours of enjoyment with that new toy. Sounds like you have the caught the fever. Post a few photo's if you get a chance.
