The last thermostat I bought from a Cat dealer a year ago was printed on the box "Made in the USA" but the thermostat itself was stamped "Made in China".

The very best rad flushing product out there is cascade dishwasher detergent. I would use about a cup and a half for every 8-10 gal of capacity. To be fair I have not tried this on any old system, but I have used it on countless locomotives and tractors. It will blow your mind what that stuff can churn up (and leave a spot free rinse). Hopefully its something simple and easy to fix. Good luck with it!

    Thumbs up Cascade

Heard this one before, I haven't tried it yet. But have talked to other people who have and been highly successful with using it.
