    Default ERTL d-6, the first one

    For model collectors; this is the first one ERTL did and hard to find for sale...

    Hard to tell if it has the bar grill of the 1st version. Appears to have the decal grill which would be included with the decal set. Decal grill is the second version and is harder to find than the 1st version. Correct me if I am wrong.

    Yes, technically the 2nd version; but has the first version hitch and than they went to casting it in!

    Cast drawbar is what I call the third version. Blade lift lever also removed. Ertl wanted it easier and cheaper to manufacture.

    btw there is a very 1st version on ebay for $850....New with box...better investment than Brass ones or CCM ones to me, but too much money !

    The old models just seem to keep going up in price, although $850 would be reasonable for a NIB second version, it seems a little steep for the first version.
