Part number RE528699 comes back as" Gasket set, Zenith carburetor for $17.93". RE528697 is Kit, Carburetor, Zenith for $272.85.

I cannot say what is in each kit. You can see what the one on e-bay contains.

Default Expensive? About how much to redo one right? Might be worth it.

I had mine rebuilt at Farmer's Service (http://www.farmersserviceinc.com/carbrebuild.htm). Expensive, but they do a first rate job.

Thanks Ray, I put the site in my favorites as I'm just starting to get this grader up and going and want to be able to fire up the pony without a hassle. LB

I have NOT been happy with The Carburetorshop on my last two purchases. I paid over $60 for kit on my RD6 pony motor and received a couple of gaskets and a felt washer.

I just contacted my local John Deere Dealer here in Australia and the single gasket RE528699 is around $US30 and is in stock here, while the full carby kit, the RE528697 is $US370 and needs to be ordered in

I've recently bought a couple of basic carby gasket kits for my 22 carbies from "Marks Carburetor and Magneto Shop" over in the USA and they are great, and very inexpensive, I think it was $US7.99 each for them, a more complete kit including new float needle and seat for the Cat. 22 was about $27 I think, and I know our "Wombat" contacted them recently about carby kits for his RD6 pilot motors, I need to ask him how he got on.

    Mikey,
I just visited with Mark ,day before yesterday. He was busier than a one legged man in a butt kickin contest so did not get to chat for long. Good guy in my dealings with him. Our dealing's have always been about green tractors though, did not realize that he dealt in yellow items also.

I would recommend Mark if he has what you need.
