    Default logging problem

Hello: one of the reasons i have not asked a whole lot more questions of the experts here, is that i can't seem to stay logged on. A lot of the time i have tried to post or reply, and when i try to submit it shows that i have been logged of. Is this a forum problem or does this pc have more problems than i am aware of? This automatic log off happens within 5 minuets. Thanks for any help. mlgoodknight

Yes, I have also noticed that the auto log off time has become rather short. Very irritating in the middle of a post. Joe, you need to adjust the timing.

For whatever its worth-----I was having problems losing my dial up connection recently resulting in similar happenings (not just on ACMOC). Had my computer "guru" check the computer out-----replaced the modem, and so far am not having the disconnect (log off) problems.

Interesting enough----nothing showed to be wrong with the modem. But we changed it out anyway while he was here----looks like that was my problem.

In my situation-----I would try to post a reply, etc. only to find that I was no longer logged on the site. Would check my dial up connection----and was no longer connected to the server.

Regardless of your problem-----its gotta be really frustrating.

The current auto-logoff time is set to "never", so you may want to check and see if you have any firewall or anti-spyware software that may be causing your issue (especially if it clears or resets your cookies). Some Internet providers also rotate or flush the IP addresses you use which can sometimes cause this.
