    Default My Christmas day project

The Turkey is prepared--- that's my job--- and as soon as my brother gets here we are going to fire up this D311 Genset I told the ladies that we "needed" to get the Genset running in case the power went out I know there are more honorable things to do on Christmas but this year my brother is here from Oregon and he came up with the idea, who am i to argue with my older brother Merry Christmas all. Well, that was one of the easiest start ups i've had in a while. Primed the fuel, blew out the junk in the bellhousing, greased a few fittings, checked the rack and plunger movement, injector housing for oil, hit the starter switch, little shot of ether and it firedlike it ran yesterday Runs very very well. Hour meter shows 264? Not sure about the generator end, will go and get a load test in the future.
3512B, still here!!! Did disconnect the exciter wires though. Thank you for the heads up. I am a little scared when it comes to that kind of voltage
Bernie, I did honestly feel a bit guilty about doing this on Christmas but i have helped out in a lot of places on Christmas before. Thanks for the go ahead
Agmike, you have a point, he didn't make any offers yet though Thanks, Don

    Default wiring

Don, somewhere I have the wiring diagram for that beast
Shoot me a picture of the generator name plate and I will find it for you if you don’t have it.
Just flew in to Prudhoe back to work they have a heck of a feast for us! Now I don’t have to buy food for 2 weeks

3512B, i appreciate your offer. The ID plate has been compromised by rat and mouse urine . There are #'s but have yet to look closely to see what remains. I am starting to look for a manual, but am pretty sure it won't be easy to find. Glad you were fed well . Don

K of O, why do you still have hair? I remember a situation a while back that was supposed to relieve you of your mane. Happy New Year
