Default Conversion from Bellows Seal to Floating Ring

    Hi Team,
here are scans of relevant S/M's for above conversions. Sorry about clarity of 2nd scan as it is a fiche copy and to date I haven't been able to trace a hard copy of same --do not know the date-- this from my book of useless info!!! Also Special Instruction is a fiche copy for D7, method remains the same, but part No's change for other machines.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Eddie B.

PS--- have scaned at 400dpi to help get better copy.
Will add SI when I have deleted some other posts.

PSS HAVE ADDED SCAN OF HARD COPY SERV. MAG OCT 31 1962 for D6-up
The Serv Mag for D4, 933 etc is dec 20 1963

edb - Although the four illustrations don't look very good when on the computer screen, for an experiment, I printed out the one from the fiche, and it is perfectly readable. Anyone could print the 4 illustrations out and take them to the shop and be able to read the directions without any difficulty. GWH

    Default Clarity of Scans.

    Hi GWH,
thanks for the feedback on the printability of the scans. With what I had to work with it is great to know they are useable.
    Thanks and Cheers,

    Hi edb,
Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware that you could do the "U" model D4's.....makes sense...same ol parts. Has anyone out there actually done the D4 conversion???

    Default Seal Conversions

    Hi again OM,
yes I did some back in the day--many years ago now, 40+.
We also used to use the alloy ring carriers to repair totally worn out machined ring carriers of the sprockets of later machines. Alas I do not believe they all are still available, some maybe.
Will look tomorrow for other Special Instructions for the other model machines.
    Cheers,
    Eddie B.
