Default 2016 Chapter 12 Schedule of events

I hope you all have had a great start to the 2016 year,
Chapter Twelve is looking to have a busy 2016.
Here are some tentative dates to consider for joining in on Chapter Twelve activities:

    • Play day at Jim Moore’s residence 44273 Mt. View Church Road
Albemarle, NC 28001 on March 12th bring your machine and move some dirt. If you have any questions please contact Jim, he can be reached at 704-985-0929.
    • Tractor Show on the North Carolina Transportation Museum grounds in Spencer, N.C. April 8th-9th. This is a wonderful place to bring the family with lots to see and do. The Museum has made a lot of improvements over the past two years and should be fun for all.
    • Appalachian Antique Farm Show, April 21-24, Gray, Tenn. I have never been to this show and do not have much information to share at this time. If you are planning on going please let me know so I can figure out how much room is needed for us to display as a group.
    • The North Carolina Got to Be Festival, May 20- 22, Raleigh, N.C. This is also a great family fun event with a focus on NC agriculture. There will be a small play area this year so plan to move some dirt if you want. I plan to be there on Saturday.
    • Open House at ChrisCo Machinery Inc. located at 10144 Old Liberty Road, Liberty NC. 27298 on Sept. 17. We hope you all can come to this event and please bring a friend. We will have door prizes and food, make plans to spend the day and hopefully the weather will be much nicer so we can have a power parade and even move some dirt.
    • 100 Years of Progress Show, Nov. 4-6, Carthage, N.C. This is our annual event for Chapter 12, We will have a meeting to discuss the upcoming 2017 HCEA National show as well as the return of the ACMOC National Show in 2019. Elect 2017 officers and discuss future chapter 12 plans.

The following has yet to be finalized:
    • Tour the Caterpillar Skid Steer Plant in Sanford, N.C. I have made contact with the plant and waiting for a followup to finalize the date and time. (has now been set May 12th 9am)

There is also another invitation for the following:

Stowers Machinery (east TN Cat dealer) is having a Demo days April 29th 2016 at our 6301 Old Rutledge Pike location (east Knoxville).
    Company website http://www.stowerscat.com/
    Demo Days location http://www.stowerscat.com/our-compan...chinery-store/

Any and all ACMOC members are invited and please bring any caterpillar machinery you would want to display.
There might some potential in having a play area but that is still in the works.

Just a reminder about the play day coming up on the 12th, should be lots of fun with a tractor drive at least a mile or so long, good food and of course lots of fellowship!

    Default Garlic Mom wants in.

Garlic Mom offered to load up her fleet and come play. I guess she didn't know that the big iron was going and now she's jealous.
