    Default Maybe my CAT Hauler

While taking pics of the 79 KW, Bob has this Pete with a 1693 ya ya. It use to belong to Mel Delzer, we buy hay from his son Ross. Mel had a dirt bussiness and Ross still has some of the machines including the 70's KW'
s that he won't let go. But now I have a chance to get this truck with less than 300,000 miles on it. The price is $5000. What do ya think? Thanks, John

John, it has possibilities. Wish it were mine. How much $ do you think it will cost to get it up and running, licensed. GWH

GW, he said he had it on the road last year, but I don't know. He thought about keeping it to put the motor in one of his scrapers. He has about 25-30 scrapers.

Hi John, I think he did have that on the road not to long ago. I seem to remember his guys hauling equipment by our place with it. We were fortunate enough to buy his dad's sixty from him a few years back, runs and drive like new now. Thats one heck of a pile Bob has there isn't it?? Regards Gene

John, if the motor is a good runner, and the truck isn't beat too bad in places I can't see in the pictures, although the rear of the frame needs a crossmember replaced at the very end, looking at the sterring wheel its got a lot more than 300 thou on it, and half the dash screws are out of it, 5000 is tops, but try to build that motor if it goes down you'll spend a lot more than 5 large on it, its hard to find anything drivable, for less than 5000.

John, I live just 2 miles north of Bob's on the same road but keep all the cats and other tractors at another place at Sturgis. Give me a shout some weekend when its nice and we'll give you the tour 605-787-6456. I don't know of any thirties around but one turns up now and again. Regards Gene
