Default Source for LaTourneau R-7 CCU brake linings?

Anyone know where I can get a new brake brake lining? I'm not having any luck with my usual sources. I'd also like to know if the clutch cones can be found anywhere too. Thanks.

I had my LeT bands and cones relined at my local clutch part rebuilder. the band is a standard part cut & fit & bonded. The cone was done in a sectional way, cut from flat sheet, curved, bonded and trimmed.

I had my brake bands relined (riveted) with the woven lining for $100.00 each. The cones will be approximately $100.00 each, riveted and/or bonded. I am looking for the Hyatt bearings for my unit. It sat full of water for I don't know long, but a long long time. I have all new tapered Timken bearings and cups and new seals. Will need to have shafts ground and chromed or metal sprayed and ground back to size, unless some one has some new parts for the old LeTourneau CCU that they would like to let go of cheap?

Thanks for the answers guys. It looks like I'll have to send my band off to get relined. I was hoping to find some bulk lining material and do it my self but I haven't found any. I'm going to swap around the left and right clutch cones. I only use the right drum and the left cone is in pretty good shape. I need to replace the big seals LeTourneau part L-37050. Does anyone have a crossover number for those seals? Thanks. Rick

Try Mcmaster-Carr for the Semimetallic brake lining. I looked under linning, brake. They also have the rivets that you will need. Phone (562) 692-5911 or www.mcmaster.com
    Thanks

If you really want to do it yourself, call up Automotive Friction in Birmingham AL and give them your application and the dimensions you need for the lining and the rivets. I'm sure they will be able to send you what you need or do it for you.

The seals do cross over, haven't got the info at my computer so will try to send it later, The seals are right at $50.00 bucks each give or take a few bucks. I just ordered two seals for mine. I have removed it from the tractor and am rebuilding it complete. All the seals will cost about $200.00. I figure it will cost about $800.00 to rebuild if nothing bad is wrong. McMaster Carr is the best place to purchase the lining if you want to do it your self, still not cheap. I figured it was almost as cheap to have it done and if any thing goes wrong I wont have to buy more lining and rivets and spend the time and money. Good luck.

The L-37050 crosses to a National #416229 or CR #65037

Thanks for the cross over numbers OM. Where did you order your seals from Frank? I decided to send the brake band off to get relined. Like you said it was about as cheap or maybe cheaper and should be a good job. Thanks.
