Default D6 9u one cylinder not firing

I have a D6 9U #23231, was sitting for approximately 12 mths of no activity. When restarted it only ran on 5 cylinders till the engine warmed then ran well. Subsequent starts have produced varying results, 6 cylinders most of the day then drop to 5, then it would come good. Now it only intermittently fires on that cylinder. I have replaced fuel filters. I have tried swapping injectors but still same pot not firing. Any body have any ideas ?

It sounds like one injector pump maybe sticking a bit. This new fuel doesn't have the lubricity of the older diesel, so I add a couple quarts of cheap two stroke oil to the fuel.

Check the oil level and condition in the injection pump housing. Sounds like a pump lifter is running dry and sticking.

You could swap pumps on the pump housing and see if the misfire moves with the pump or stays with the cylinder.
