It will be tough for anyone to throw their hat in and help other than a curious nudge as Leroy finds cats for people, ie Tom a snow cat sixty for instance, a conflict of interest in a sense

All you good ol' boys that are saying Leroy is such a good guy better get on his case...if he in fact took the money & has delivered nothing, that's BS. If I knew the guy, I'd be telling him to make it right one way or the other. This kind of crap pisses me off.
And yes, I realize we're only hearing one side of the story. Here's Leroy's chance to present his side.
I think if I were Diggerdozer my next call would be to the Sheriff's dept. in Leroy's county of residence, then maybe the Australian Consulate. 21K is grand larceny.

There is no argument of payment, just once every 6 months he replies usually after I ask Tom Madden to prompt him, last tine Jan this year , prior to that July 2017

harvest has just started , truck broke down , aiming for mid next month, cant afford it and so on

I shouldn't have to raise it but feel I have been patient enough and to say Tom is over it would be an understatement

    Default Similar story

I have a similar story about Archie Morris. He has been in the process of shipping my Twenty two tailseat to Michigan for the last year and a half.
He has a different excuse every time. Cutting hay, bailing, rain, etc. Last time I talked to him a few months ago he hung the phone up on me.

Fortunately bad transactions are few in our hobby, but when it happens it is in all of our best interest to know the details. Please tell us more so we can be educated. Where is he at? What was the agreement, what failed, etc.

    Old-Iron-Habit,
I bought a tailseat 22 from a gentleman in CA and heard that Archie had a little side business loading out loads of tractors for fellow collectors. I contacted him and he told me he could ship it to the Michigan/Indiana line and off load at a tractor dealer that he used in the past. Sounded great seems I'm only 2 hours north of there.
He told me it would be between $1200-1400 total. I sent him a check for $1000 (I know it was dumb but never had been screwed by a tractor guy before) and I would pay the balance after delivery. He picked it up Easter Day of last year from the seller I delt with and haven't seen the tractor yet. Last I knew he had it still in Elk Grove Ca. at his home south of Sacramento.

Leroy made contact , promised to deliver crawlers to Kurt Karde in Sacramento , two trips , second around Thanks Giving time .. so would be all finished by now Kurt confirmed via text he was available then nothing , Leroy disappears as he has done so for years

There have been more messages from other disgruntled people , but have not had to wait so long . Sheriffs office , solicitors are being tossed around , how long is someone supposed to wait dealing with a fellow collector before you get serious

and get results ? what ever happens will be of his own doing... so many broken promises we can all get busy and have trauma thrust in our face

I have emailed him one last time at his work ... where he last responded from
