Default D4 lights wiring, generator question

Regarding the lights, it has three and there are two terminals with places for screws. Did cat originally run just a hot wire and ground through the case, or did they run a hot and ground wire to each light? Second, my generator is 1102425, can anyone tell me which one that is exactly; I need to figure out which regulator I should be looking for. My generator has three brushes so do I need a voltage regulator or a cutout? Thanks for any help you can offer. Michael

The 1102425 generator uses a #5869 Delco voltage regulator. 5869 is superseded by 1118426.
Those two terminal lights use a 3-prong sealed beam head light. Grounding is through the housing, choice of terminals gives low or high beam element.
One listed on ebay, also listed on Machinerytrader.com
