    Default d2 to d4

    hello i was just wondering if it is possible to re power a d2 whit a d4 engine thanks an 5u series

    Not as a direct bolt on, but anything is possible. Everything after the engine would suffer. I think the bevel gears are already the weak link as most of the D2's I have dismantled had chipped or badly worn teeth on the bevel pinion.. There was a field change with an improved bearing on the bevel pinion. I'm surprised that no aftermarket developed an intermediate torque converter drive to bolt between the flywheel housing and transmission.

    I think it would be cool if I was going to do it I would have upgrade the transmission
