Don't watch youtube for starting procedures!! half of those idiots don't have a clue how to start them! Find an Operation and Maintenance manual, the most helpful and correct way to start and service your tractor.

    Hi, catCat8235.
Geez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You work in some steep country. What % is THAT slope? I hope it's not to hard on the tracks.

    Just my 0.02.

    Default pinion lever adjustment?

If adjusted properly, it will stay out on its own, otherwise you can hold it out.

what/where is the adjustment? is it just a matter of adjusting the linkage?

It's all in the books. However i will add, make sure you pull the lever straight out, not on an angle. Makes a huge difference.
