I'm with Doylex, it always astounds me the amount of money and labour people use to save a master pin that is only worth a few dollars. The master bush is not counter bored, as a result the master bush and pin wear faster, so best to fit a new pin and take up some of the extra wear. I always used a little colt oxy set, just gouged out each end and tapped out with a small 2lb hammer, a 15 minute max job for a D8H track.

Just curious: what does it take to press the new pin in?
