    Smokin Sunday Funday!

In my Coronavirus Safe Zone today. Inoculated myself with diesel fumes and a little bit of dust.Ahhh, what a feeling. My little D4C 40A4700, been part of my family since 1978. Second Cat I ever sat on. This old girl has never let me down yet. Discing with my 136 Allis Chalmers L disc.
The dozer photo is my expensive auction purchase from a year ago. D46U converted to wide gauge. Swede/Holt blade.

    Default Nice pics,

Juiceman, nice application of a day of isolation. Where is the hot rod D4, is it a D or an E? Sweet machine! We got a little rain over here last week, so adobe would be horrible to put a disc on. Needing a shot of deisel fumes myself! Sorry to hear Tulare is canceled, your friends in chapter 5 were planning on bringing Glenn's Mary Ann and Rebecca for play. Stay safe my friend.

    TomTrack44,

Wow! I never thought I would those LGPD8s again! Who was behind that, Ed or Kevin? Just curious.

JM - glad you got a chance to vaccinate yourself with some diesel fumes! Good option I think.

Hi Tom: The Turner/Madden D4D was sitting in the corner waiting its turn. Hotrod sums it up well. That unit has a LOT of power. Ive pulled an 18 Killefer drag disc and roller with it before, barely felt it back there... I even hooked it up to my 21 JD Killefer, pulled it just fine. Scary having that many ponies in a small tractor.
Yes, show cancellations across the board here. Quite a shame. We we a day away from sending several lowbeds of CATs to CAFES before we got the notification. I had a lot of phone called and texting to do, as we had quite a bit of iron lined up to go into the Dig as well as for static display. Im glad that someone warmed up to the idea of bringing the two fat bottomed girls down.
Lets see what might happen for 2021.

    Hi Folks.
As I currently understand it, there is to be a conference call on March 31 to decide if the Best Of The West Show at Santa Margarita Ranch will go ahead or become another COVID19 casualty. Probably the major thing affecting the outcome will be whether the shelter at home order is still in place and/or whether there is any possibility of it being lifted.

    Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes.

    Deas Plant.

Juiceman, I believe Ed and Kevin were both in on it, with a little help from Pat, Glenn's brother. I got to drive Rebecca a couple of months back, what a kick, that thing is huge!
Would be a kick to drive that hot rod D4, agree with you, a little scary having that much power. Way back, around 67, a Paso Robles Cat dealer was testing a D4 with a D6C engine for use on the side hills east of Paso, believe it led to the development of the D5. Tom
