Default Need parts for No. 44 hydraulic unit

I have found more than 1 No. 44 hydraulic unit, but all are missing the coupling between the engine pully and the pump. It seems that these parts are popular. Before I go to a salvage yard, I'm wondering about the availability of these parts:

    5F7751 shaft assembly
    5F7754 gear

    Any advice appreciated.

KOO, I plan to put it on my D2 5U. I have a blade lined up, but without the hydraulic unit. I know of two hydraulic units readily available, but neither has the parts I'm looking for. Need the parts to make usable. GWH

I recently replaced the same parts on my #46 (D6 hard nose) and got everything from the local Cat dealer which at first got it all confused with the #44 as they had parts on-hand for that. They were awful proud of 'em though!

Hi Joe. So it is possible that the local Cat dealer has the parts. Glad to hear that! GWH

I've been pretty fortunate with my local dealer, and what they don't have usually comes in from other dealer stock within a week. The largest number of parts I ever ordered at one time was when we rebuilt the water pump on one of the D42T's and everything came from 7 different dealers.

Now most of my stuff is late 40's diesel Cats, so your mileage may vary with anything older than that. I still haven't gotten 'round to working on the 22 since the show last February!

I have some new couplings to renew the worn internal spline. All I need is the old shaft so I can weld new one on.
