Cat d4400 power unit

I recently purchased a Link Belt drag line with a D4400 power unit serial number 1s4402. Any idea of year of manufacture?

According to the Cat SNID book they went in production in 1936 so it would be a little newer than that but my book only has start up years but some on here has a book with each year a SN was made.

What book would I need to get that lists individual years of manufacture?

The one I had (can't find) was a 1972 edition but I would think any of the 70's versions would have the info.
