Default New D4 Find With Pictures

I tried to post some pictures a week ago,but they were to big.
So,I took a few more with a different camera hoping that they would take.
    Anyway here are a few pic's of a 7u9???.
Also, I thought I had found some neat bee gee unit, but if you look close the bottom of the pump housing has a serious hole in it.
I'll just bet that pump cover housing is more than likely in stock at any hardware dealer.LOL

Comp, that is a really nice looking machine. I sure wish I could find one like that. Earlier you indicated you might let it go later. I would advise you to keep it. If on the other hand you are inclined to sell it, I am sure it will go fast (maybe me)

    B4D2,
I have been so tuned in to d2's that i'm not sure what one like this would go for.
The hour meter was at 681 hrs when we left the guy's place. We decided to let it run until we got home which was about 3 hours just in case we had to adjust it on the trailer.
When we got home I was convinced that the meter was 3 hours more mature, but sadly she still had 681 hours.
    So,I don't have a clue how many hours she has,but i know it's more than 681.
This I do know. You usually can look at a piece of equipment a cat or a car and tell whether it's been hammered or not. Cobbled up welds, lot's of wire, clamps and brackets through out the unit.Sheetmetal that has long time ago come up missing.
O yes, let's not forget the massive oil leaks from the,,,,,,well everywhere.
This tractor has none of these tell tell sign's of hammered.
Sometimes I read these post's and guy's are alway's asking what to look for before they buy some old unit.
Really all they have to do is look.

    Default Nice find.

Man, that thing looks good. Clean, straight, and sheet metal on the tracks! You'd NEVER find anything that nice where I'm from. If it was me she'd be a keeper.

    Default D4 7u

What did you say the whole serial number was? I have no. 7u 9797 with an angle blade. I think my D4s are breeding, I've got 9 D4s and one RD7. I've got enough projects to last me a life time.

    D4D83J,
Looks like the ser is 7u9245 alittle older than your's.
Funny thing happened about 10 minutes ago.Phone rang and there was a an old guy that has a d2 that fit's the discription of the one that my dad bought back in 1950.
might be kind of cool to find the one that your dad had so many year's ago.
Since fuel is down alittle a guy can afford to take these 125 trips without the sting.

Looks real straight. .sheet metal is in good shape. I've seen very few that had all the track guards, let alone in that good of shape. I had a 7J that had lived it's life on a farm with sandy soil. .drawbar had been worn out and patched several times but the rest of it was in similar shape with not a lot of wear on the grousers. The chains were another story. . By the looks of the oil on the hood around the stack, it might need to go drag something heavy around for a few hours. .might cure what looks like slobbering.

Yes,I noticed it started to slobber alittle at the end of the day.
I'm not concerned at all because she had been at a idle for almost half the day.
