While cleaning up the surface where the transmission mounts to the final drive case, I found the surface to be slightly pitted, was wondering if there is a reccomended sealer to go on the new rubber seal. Would hate to have it leak after all this work. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I think I'd use permatex ultra black.

not farmiliar with that product is it like the #2 NON HARDENING?

I've had the best luck sealing with ultra black.
