    Default Dave Smith's Passing

It is with great sadness we share the news of Dave Smith’s passing. One of the founders of ACMOC, he was truly a great man and will be missed by all.

Dave had a strong passion for the restoration and preservation of antique Caterpillar machinery. He donated several items from his collection to the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Museum at Brooks, Oregon. ACMOC is making a contribution to the museum in memory of Dave to help maintain his collection. Memorials may be sent to the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Museum, P O Box 3377, Portland Or. 97208.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dave's family.

My Condolences go out to his family. Dave was one of the first ACMOC members I ment and got me signed up for ACMOC in 1994. I always enjoyed talking to him at the Brooks show every year. I was usually learing something when I was talking to him and asking him questions. He knew so much about Caterpillar machinery and loved working on them. Dave was not at this years Brooks show due to his health and I feared this day was near. He will be missed by all. W. SMITH
