Default A couple of questions for the jack hoses

    A couple of things -
    1. I was wondering who would know what the minimum psi would be for the jack hoses on the Cat 44.

    2. I'm planning on removing the block on the left side of the fender where the hoses go into the jack and also going to replace the pipes with hoses and go directly into the jack with them. I wonder if anyone would know how much oscillation there would be for those hoses there. I figure maybe an inch?

Relief valve pressure setting on the #44 pump is 1200 psi
    Working pressure is 1000 psi.

Single wire (R1 - 3/4 hose) is good for 1250 psi working pressure.
Two wire (R2 -3/4 hose more commonly used) is good for 2250 psi working pressure.

Sounds about right on your flex estimate.

    Son in law here,

He has the pump sorted out for the front and is in the middle of refinishing that. The pipes used to run back both sides for the "jacks". He is removing the left set and only using the right set.

The hose will go from the right block through the hose over into the left set. Thats also why he has to know how much movement there might be in the hose due to the lifting and dropping of the "blade arm" - my inexperience in parts showing through there.

Thanks to Old Magnet - He was happy to hear his line of thinking on the matter was correct.

Weird size requirements for the pic uploads I must say.
