I removed the steering clutch off of my D2. The whole thing had rusted into powder, the inner hub flange was broken off and covered with rust on the broken edge. I assume the expanding plates pushed hard enough to break the flange. I was able to get the final off without breaking the brake drum but there are many missing splines from rusting through. I got a used inner hub and discs from a member up north but he did not have any drums. I see that steeringclutches.com does. Has anyone ordered from them? Good place to deal with?
Also, I was going to take off the large nut holding the throwout bearing but it is stuck tight as can be. I don't have a large spanner wrench but may have to make one. Any tips on removing or , in my case, tightening the nut?
Thanks
