    Default Cat Power unit 7S

Question - the 7S Power unit is the same same motor as a D311 that is in the D2 4U and 5U and the Cat 933 11A crawlers? If memory serves me to put the power unit motor into a crawler you have to use the oil pan and pick ups off a crawler engine as those have a pick up in the front and back while the power unit does not. Please let me know. Thanks.

    Default D311

There are probably a lot of little things that will need to be swapped from industrial to the tractor engine. For the gov. it depends on the RPMs the engine was set up for and the gov. settings and spring etc.so will take some real knowledge of it,s setup to change over to a tractor.

If you can post the RPM rating of the engine I can get you the governor setup from the rack setting charts.

Check the oil pan part #, I had to swap pans on one of my D2's, Power plants do not use the pan for the spring support.
