I hauled home this big Twenty today, the engine is siezed but it has some really nice manifolds on it that will fit my No.9 grader so I had to get it. I've got a couple of questions about it though.
First I noticed a square box on the lower right side of the engine, attached to the block in the area of the oil pump. It has a tube that comes off it and up throught he hood with a pressure gauge on it. Is this what the crawler oil pumps look like or is it some kind of add-on?
The other question is about the gearbox that is attached to the rear. It's cast so it bolts on the rear end where the rear cover would go, and there is an engagement lever that sticks up under the raised seat. A chain type sprocket comes out the left side of it. The previous owner told me it had a log skidding boom on it at one time, and somehow this powered it. Does anyone recognize it? I'll attach some pics.
